In 1985, in a modest workshop in Kathmandu, our grandfather threaded his first needle with a vision that would span generations. He believed everyone deserved clothes that fit not just their body, but their personality and aspirations.
He named his shop “Modern Tayari Poshak Udhyog” — a promise to bring modern tailoring to Nepal while honoring traditional craftsmanship. Word spread quickly, and businessmen, government officials, and families began seeking his expertise.
As decades passed, his children and grandchildren carried the legacy forward. We launched Suitmandu to serve a new generation of Nepalis who appreciate both heritage and contemporary style.
Today, at our workshop in Maharajgunj, you’ll find the same dedication that started it all. The machines may be newer and the fabrics more diverse, but the heart remains the same — a family committed to making you look and feel your best.
